Whale photo workshop with Jocelyn Praud
Come discover the secrets of wildlife photography at sea with wildlife photographer Jocelyn Praud. With over 10 years of experience with whales and the St. Lawrence River, Jocelyn will share his tips and techniques developed over time to capture these giants of the sea. The St. Lawrence River is home to a great diversity of marine mammals. During this workshop, you may observe and photograph minke whales, humpback whales, fin whales, blue whales, harbour porpoises, belugas, as well as several species of seals and migratory birds.
The workshop will begin with a one-hour theoretical session on photographic techniques adapted to maritime conditions: we will cover challenges related to the boat and the animals, as well as the settings and equipment to use in the field. This will be followed by a two-hour outing in a Zodiac, limited to 8 participants. Accompanied by an experienced captain, you will have the opportunity to put your skills and knowledge into practice to photograph these animals we cherish so much, at the end of the day, in order to maximize the chances of getting the best possible light.
Important: A minimum of 5 participants is required for the workshop to take place. Make sure to reserve your spot to ensure the event is held.
