Sound exploration with hydrophone

Hydrophone Sound Exploration Cruises are whale watching cruises, with priority given to sound exploration and hydrophone use.

All of our 6:30am whale watching cruise departures include use of our hydrophone.

Cruises with hydrophones depart early in the morning and in low season, to avoid noise pollution and optimize the chances of underwater listening.

It is important to note that the chances of a successful listening are not guaranteed. They depend on weather conditions, noise pollution and, of course, the whales' desire to sing that day.

Can't make it to the 6:30am outing? We still try to use the hydrophone on our regular cruises, but during the day there are usually more boats and therefore more noise pollution, which reduces the chances.
